Official Opening of the Karadeniyagama Tank Restoration Project
The official opening of the Karadeniyagama Tank Restoration Project was successfully held in Kurunegala on 6th of February 2026, marking the completion of a two-year community development initiative supported by Sampath Centre Limited. The project was carried out through a tripartite partnership between Agrarian Development – Kurunegala, the Villagers’ Association, and Sampath Centre. The initiative aimed to support the local farming community by restoring the tank to improve water availability and agricultural activities in the area.
The event was attended by representatives from the Agrarian Department, village community members, religious leaders, and officials of Sampath Centre Limited. The ceremony included the official opening, religious blessings, and community gathering activities.
